Wedding Setting Chart

The Low Anthem – Smart flesh

cover

The previous album " Oh my god, Charlie Darwin " came away with the judges not bad. Just at that time found by some judges as an aggravating classified songs no successor to "flesh Smart" . So I'm curious, will turn out like this year's verdict.

A shift in the direction of "Folk" and "American" is obvious. Through this The Low Anthem direct comparison deals with the strong work of predecessors. "Smart flesh" has come very quietly but sometimes compelling reassuring. I found it difficult, not with the Music to wander off into the distance or in the relative calm.

Whiskey Soda sees a strength in this silence:

The fragility of the songs, however, is method and testified once more that the songs are the stronger, the more silent they are arranged.

I'm not a folk fan, but at The Low Anthem which seems so authentic that it influences me to "Smart flesh" do not disturb.

The Los Angeles Times delivers the inevitable comparison to Arcade Fire, is no:

excepting a couple of Arcade Fire-style stompers, "Smart Flesh" is a gorgeous, inventively arranged set of reverb-rich roots ballads # in which the music's frayed edges add emotional weight, not who-cares credibility.

is worth noting the absence of the blues-rock songs that have broken up the previous work. In general, the rock portion was greatly scaled down. Especially in the song "Boeing 737" He is celebrated again. Therefore, "Boeing 737" and the up-and most pleasing track on the album. The rest is so strong Americana / folk-influenced, that he is not much getting used to for American ears, "Charlie Oh my god, Darwin" as. Fans of the previous work to be m. E. does not automatically "flesh Smart" by convincing be. But anyone who decides to quiet the songs that will discover the odd pearl. Folk fans can access on deaf ears.

I needed some time, but now I like the album. On "Oh My God, Charlie Darwin is but not approach.

The "Limited Edition" is enriched by three outtakes, according to the raw but therefore are also nice intimate.

The song "737":

Asobi Seksu - Fluorescence

on "Rewolf" (2009) Asobi Seksu surprised her fans still held with a purely acoustic versions of songs from their albums " Citrus " (2006) and "Hush " (2009).

on " Fluorescence " Go Yuki Chikudate (vocals, keyboards) and James Hanna (guitar, vocals) now in the opposite direction, the guitars can largely stand in the corner and put between Chikudates kieksig-high voice and rumbling drum sounds on large synth and organ sounds. From Shoegaze is only felt for a breath, as in the chorus of "Perfectly Crystal" when the guitars be stacked neatly, the word dream may still be placed before pop ("Ocean"), but is there in phases replaced by a J ("trance out").
remain as the face-off tips, next to "Perfectly Crystal", the powerful first single " Trails " (at least worthy of a Kevin Shields Memorial Award) and the almost 7minütige "Leave The Drummer Out There", which can march the drums impressive first:

Looking at the cover you have to inevitably think of 4AD and the designer Vaughan Oliver, it is even more interesting if the board withdraws because of Polyvinyl Records shows "Fluorescence" in a limited edition of 1500 pieces version in 180 gram, pink vinyl.

can be generally Asobi Seksu is the series of shoegaze musicians including lane dream-pop elements that only through the three previous albums developed. But again back to the electronically excited state: Asobi Seksu to convey just the "Fluorescence". Transient voltages and electrifying moments that calm down shortly and very gently and come so dreamy. Times sung in Japanese, English at times. "Trails" is the exception then hit on the record, her voice very reminiscent of Kitty by the German band Mia. "My Baby", however, awakens old memories to the tooting of fairs. On all the songs the voice of singer Yuki Chikudate by the enormous use of effects and sound surfaces is often veiled, sometimes only until we perceive another fiebsige voice.
switch Overall the listener often ISBN Fluorescens ": sometimes, some songs awesome and make a lot of fun while listening (Trails, In My Head, Sighs, Blue Light), sometimes it's high little voice too hard and the songs in all with each other too similar. Thus, again fits the title of the CD: After the initial enthusiasm and awareness Charged reviewed the opinion and you are looking to their favorite songs, while the other songs you rarely have the opportunity to positively remembered. For all fans of shoegaze, the rapid changes of mood and power in songs like the album but could penetrate pretty!

The Joy Formidable - The Big Roar

you have time left with their first drive. After a mini-album ( A Balloon Called Moaning , 2008) and a live CD ( First You Have To Get Mad , 2009), appears with The Big Roar now the debut of the three Welsh with choice of residence London.

And that has it all: is the opener The Ever Changing Spectrum Of A Lie a seven-minute song monster that starts with harmless noise and more and more rebels to finally say goodbye with a noisy feedback orgy.

It is further, such as the dirty, grungy "A Heavy Abacus" or the melancholy starting "Llaw = wall", the bassist Rhydian Dafydd lends his voice. Do not worry: Again, it comes after half a showdown is used perfectly for a short second to breathe. And on we go. The fans already known "Austere" seen here as his resurrection from the long-forgotten singles like "Whirring, albeit in slightly modified form. From nice, but somewhat flaccid pop-punk popular songs in the album version, he mutates into a insatiable Rock Kracher, in which the song towards the middle is redundant. [...] Back in the early 90's it is all about with "The greatest light is the greatest shade", reminiscent of the Smashing Pumpkins and the heavy bass knows how to say just so between a crazy electric guitar fireworks. Zoey Van Goey - Propeller Versus Wings

for "What The Cage Unlocked All Along", the first album of Zoey Van Goey , Christoph did before for sheets court of the word. With success, the album received an average of 7.125 points.
for "propeller Versus Wings " he was looking the other hand, the heap of Pop forum

I have to advertise again for a great Scottish band, the dumps would be very good: Zoey Van Goey. is

A few days ago, the second Album of the indie pop band has released (propeller versus wings), the wonderfully quirky pop songs, with violin, bells, duets, etc).

I am sure that BMA those post-festival favorites like Dear Reader. Live, the Scots (an Englishwoman, an Irishman and a Canadian, to be exact) that is great!

Who considers exaggerated, perhaps to the Belle & Sebastian concert convinced, at least in Cologne slide rests Zoey Van Goey B & S.

Christopher, who describes the qualities of the band live here has, of course, right and BMA must of course again to PVG!
The artwork for 'propeller Versus Wings "is from the artist Ursula Cheng, served as producer for the record Paul Savage (Mogwai, Malcolm Middleton, Arab Strap) and the aforementioned concert in Cologne will take place at 8:04:11.

Since there is no current video is satisfied, we are with " City Is Exploding " from last year:

hymnal, charming, learned, zealous and exquisite are the eleven new songs that defy categorization entirely. From the slow opener "Mountain On Fire", on Jazzy-pieces such as "My Aviator", or the Spektoresque piano ballad "escape maps" to the Bubblebum-punk song "Robot Tyrannosaur," just a pure pleasure.

Say Hi – Um, uh oh

cover

(

rough- trade.net) In 2002, founded the California native Eric Elbogen, the band Say Hi to Your Mom in New York. Since then, he was quite busy, "is To, uh oh " but in fact already his seventh album. The fifth album, he reduced the band name to Say Hi. Why? There are other interesting facts in addition to information on the Website des Künstlers :

1. Please do not ask about the name change, it's been more than four years.
2. Any messages or emails employing LOL-speak or lazy spellings will not be answered.
3. Please do not trust what you've read on Wikipedia, most of it is incorrect.
4. Referring to the band as "them" or "you guys" is incorrect, there is only me.
5. The exception to #4 is when referencing a public performance (rock show).
6. No requests and no suggestions.
7. Words like 'inspiration' do not apply here. 'Imagination' is far more interesting.
8th Enjoy, and please know that I appreciate you listening.
9th Please do not ask about the name change, it's been more than four years.

Eric Elbogen combines beautifully with casual Indie Rock Lo-Fi. In addition, especially his voice is not only because of its similarity to Win Butler of Arcade Fire paid attention. Where The Strange Death Of Liberal England Britpop alternative to Arcade Fire, a description of Say Hi Fi Lo is a variant.

Not only because of the combination "a solo musician / band reminds me of Say Hi to the Eels. Eric Elbogen seems a little less cranky as Mark Oliver Everett, However, both musically oriented in the same direction. "Um, uh oh" is not a revelation but an immensely pleasing, relaxed and commendable indie rock album with some songs that embed themselves in the head.

PopMatters :

For this release, Spoon's minimalist aesthetic adopts elbows and sings like a caffeinated M. Ward. While earlier albums were powered by driving, car-y synths, this sparse, homemade collection might best be categorized as polished lo-fi. Musically, there's scarcely an original moment here, yet somehow manages to elbow rise to the task of Infusing familiar arrangements with new life.

The featured video for the song "Devils":

And although no official video moved but pictures, great song "Take ya 'dancin' '

where there is the whole album as a stream.

Not on the album, but on the B-side to the single "Devils" included a cover version of "Kiss off":

Papercuts - Fading Parade

The first subpoena (IX)

Personnel:
The only permanent member of Papercuts Jason Robert Queve is from San Francisco. There he also runs his own studio ("Pan American Recording Studio") in which bands like Vetiver or Casiotone For The Painfully Alone were guests. The singer / songwriter was also already working as a producer for Port O'Brien or the Beach House.

crime was committed:
already since high school days at home to take Queve songs. Until the first real publication ("Mockingbird", 2004) but should still take a few years. Meanwhile 4 albums are at 3 indie labels in his discography, for "Fading Parade" secured for the first time Sub Pop the rights.
The record was not only alone in Jason Queve own studio, but also in cooperation with Thom Monahan at The Hangar Studio in Sacramento. Queve played all instruments (12-page acoustic guitar, piano, autoharp, mellotron, Moog, drums, etc.) even in the live implementation of various musicians, he is - at present: David Enos (keyboard, autoharp), Graham Hill ( Drums) and Frankie Koeller (bass) - supported.

plea:
Due Queve production work, it is not surprising that the sound of the Papercuts by Beach House is close to what. Smooth, spun Dreampop, which is enriched with quotations and 60s as a clash of Belle & Sebastian and Slowdive to be defined.

Witnesses
That tone carries over onto Papercuts' latest album, Fading parade, Which mixes melodies and trans fixing blissful vocal harmonies with dark, weighty themes. Queve's songwriting addresses youthful insecurity, painful trauma and romantic angst in personally specific yet concise snippets that make his words universally relatable. Lines like "Feels so strange to be back home / Can't decide if I belong" (in "Marie Says You've Changed") or "Your things are on the floor / I'll see you later, I guess" (in "Chills") allow listeners to attach their own stories and meaning in order to fill out a fuller back story. (...)

Each song brims with soaring vocal harmonies and compelling instrumentation: the Echoplex-heavy guitars of "Marie Says You've Changed," the crisp strum of autoharp in "Do What You Will," the strings, Mellotron and Moogs in "Do You Really Wanna Know."
While there's not much of an edge to this music, that's by Quever's own design. "There was so much aggressive music when I was younger, and I just felt like trying something different," he says. The result is a washy pop sound which re-creates summery nostalgia, while remaining a joy to hear again and again.

How Often Do Nhl Players Get New Gear

xrfarflight - Under The Spell Of The Cyclops' View!

The first subpoena (VIII)

Personnel:
The two friends, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Gädicke and Karsten Genz founded the band in 2003 in Hamburg. Live xrfarflight be supported by Nadja Rüdebusch.

crime was committed:
After 2 years ago their debut "The Early Bird Catches The Worm, So Clever Worms Get Up Late ..." ( Labelship Records) was released on 4:03:11 follows again the self-produced "Under The Spell Of The Cyclops' View!" ( harbor sludge record ). The 13 songs (39 minutes) come as a CD in digi-pack, on vinyl with a download code.
was between, nor the soundtrack to the film Rolling Love Affair "by Markus Fiedler added that can be downloaded for free from the band's website.

plea: reply
asked about their sources of inspiration, the guys with the terms of xrfarflight Indie Rock, Psychedelic Sixties Music and Pop, they belong to an artist himself like Motorpsycho, Deerhoof, Built To Spill, Elliott Smith, Pink Floyd and the Beatles to late. Currently there have done to them Tame Impala special.
No wonder then, that all this can be found on "Under The Spell Of The Cyclops' View! " again. And when we talk of a diverse, unconventional, yet accessible mix of styles, one can hardly object to this.
The cover actually looks like an artistic accident.

Witnesses
artists such as the Hamburg-based group xrFarflight have in Germany really hard, I am convinced. Great pop songs, intricate arrangements and allude mentality - then in Indie scales against the "1-2-3-4 fully on the bell." The album "Under the spell of the cyclops 'view' with its 13 songs has to assert itself undeservedly against the bottom of notebook Kids and Interpol Hear-a-likes. And creates the loose! A variety of songs, great harmonies and great arrangements are characteristic of the album "Under the spell of the cyclops' view." And God knows no exaggeration.
xrFarflight have listened well and paying attention. If you ask me about the style of the band, then I can think of Scandinavian artists like Jens Lekman, but also the Beach Boys in their "Pet Sounds" time (that is, without a surfboard). ... And you will forgive me, at least the first song "Spacecramp" is reminiscent of the former Britpop hope Kula Shaker.
an album in which the preview really not difficult and is never boring because of the deliberate instrumentation and sophisticated transitions and hopefully get the recognition they deserve. ... Just pop!

clues and evidence:
early end of January 2011 appeared the online EP "Producing Dust," on the next to the title track are three not more, on the album contained songs. It also has a free EP It via Band Camp.

Our Broken Garden - Golden Sea

The first subpoena (VII)

Personnel:

The Danish songwriter and singer Anna Brønsted know maybe some because of their temporary involvement in Efterklang and The Sad Lovers. Her own musical project is called Our Broken Garden . Other supporters are Moogie Johnson (bass) and Søren Bigum (guitar, keyboards).

crime was committed:
After her debut album "When Your Blackening Shows" (2008) published Anna Brønsted last year, his successor, " Golden Sea" (Bella Union ). This was in a small country house in the Danish desert with the help of various musicians, including Robert Karlsson and Morten Svenstrup of Under Byen recorded and produced by Brønsted-with.

plea:
Dreamy, spherical Pop Nordic Coleur with sirenenhaftem song that can get over it certainly Volker, that this really is a 2010s album.
The inclined listeners can parallels to This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Sigur Rós, Björk, Goldfrapp, Beach House or listen to Enya.

Witnesses
particularly the single "Garden Grow" has succeeded very well and builds slowly to but determined, based on subtle strings and rich, soft singing a threatening atmosphere "The Feral" is against theatrical. Some lines are breathy huff and put the strings dramatic accents. Brønsted uses a very minimalist, dramatic embedded instrumentation, which provides in the good moments for a comforting shivers, in some songs, but works a little overused.
However, the second album from Our Broken Garden is a worthwhile excursion into fantastic, mystical Welten. Ein wenig Zeit und Muße braucht man indes schon.
( crazewire.de )
Golden Sea is a record so unassumingly resonant in emotive pull that from the rolling piano of the aptly titled 'The Departure' you can't help but feel a giddying constriction in your chest. This album itself is a departure in the sense of a complete uncoupling from everyday senses and a submerging in the most deliciously constructed orchestral-tinged dream-pop since Sigur Rós.. this second tide of beauty leaves you simply breathless

How Should My Cervix Feel Just Before My Period

Ringo Deathstarr - Colour Trip

The first subpoena (VI)

personal (guitar, vocals), Daniel Coborn (drums) and Alex Gehring (bass, vocals).

crime was committed:
Elliott founded the band in 2005 in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas. After some personnel changes, Ringo Starr Death have for some time the above occupation.
appeared in October 2007 with the "Ringo Starr Death" EP your first release, in September 2009 followed by "In Love", their first, still relating to Single ( SVC Records), which is not on the debut album. "Colour Trip" was in The Bubble - Studio in Austin started in the spring of 2010 and appeared this week on Club AC 30 Records .

plea:
The band name sounds like a tribute to The Beatles, and Star Wars, the music breaks away one, like the early The Jesus & Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine. I am thrilled Ringo Starr even though Death should not win innovation award, because of this are the role models to hear too much out. But who in recent years had fun on the boards of The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and A Place To Bury Strangers, who may be not "Colour Trip" escape.

Witnesses
sure they make it a place gazehymnen cornucopia of catchy fuzz-and-nu and cites completely uninhibited their idols such as the early the mary chain, my bloody valentine or the primitves. probably be the old master minds kevin shields and jim reid this abundance the rolling eyes. precisely because they invent nothing really new, but the clever steal makes them so good and charming, the one they can not even be angry.
screaming guitars, echoing much of the vote and it rocks, creaks and grungt chain ends and all. "High", "do it every time" or "tambourine girl", the fuzz-pop-hits on the indie-dancefloor had to wait long. it seems almost embarrassing that this band is not from a major-label was taken up, but on the small but very charming shoegaze-label club AC 30 published his first work. three cool looking nerds from Austin, where in the States, the experts predict for some time, the breakthrough.
but sadly this band in this country probably remain only a first tip, although they would be to treat breakthrough at the heart of us. a great debut album that every indie shoegaze and Wave Pop fan-only highly recommended, and one that leaves open heart.

Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo - Almanac

The first subpoena (V)

Personnel:

Emily Barker comes from a small village in Western Australia. At 19 she moved to the wide world, circa 2002 meet in Cambridge with Rob Jackson, together, together make music to folk festivals and to publish them as the two-low-country Americana / alt.country albums. 2007 saw her first solo album "Photos.Fires.Fable." the same time the birth of The Red Clay Halo (named after a song by Gillian Welch) represented.

crime was committed:
Anna Jenkins, Jo Silverston and Gill Sandell now complete this girl quartet and control violin, cello, accordion, piano, flute and vocal harmonies to the sound of Emily Barker at. The song "Nostalgia" was selected by the composer Martin Phipps for the soundtrack of the BBC's adaptation of the Wallander series with Kenneth Branagh and raised in Great Britain the popularity of Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo immensely.
After "Despite The Snow" (2008), " Almanac " their second release. The money for the recording and promotion of the panel picked up the volume on Pledgemusic.com . Within just 5 weeks 114% of the desired amount had come together.

plea:
Lovely, lovely and innocent between Americana and Celtic folk pop-pop, suitable for friends of The Corrs, or the guy from Swedish crime novels. The English media are enthusiastic, but there is revered not only Laura Marling, but also hear (probably secretly) Clannad. But
cover and booklet are really well and worth seeing.

Witnesses
From the bucolic build that opens Billowing Sea, via the mournful strings of Dancers – which, again, treads a lyrical path to bodies of water – to the sumptuous climax of Bones, a song capping the album’s greatly graphical wordplay with talk of "a wound of a thousand cuts", this is a dream of a record. So perfectly formed is it that, chances are, the listener will need to go around again immediately, to make sure they weren’t imagining anything. A new Marling, then? No, Barker offers something else – vocals that soar and arrangements that shine, but all the time anchored by a strong, sincere respect for the heritage behind an inevitable rise.
( bbc.co.uk )

A flawless collection about the temperamental and elemental forces that continually mould us, Almanac is the most definitive statement to date of Barker and The Red Clay Halo’s considerable talent. At times it sounds a little too flawless, but when the women let rip and show the strain at the heart of their songwriting, they reach real heights. Time and tide may wait for no one, but in the shifting fortunes of the creative sea Almanac stands as a gleaming, solid point on the horizon.

The Andersen Tapes - As I Write 'Today' Ten Times

The first subpoena (IV)

Personnel: Amanda

Aldervall comes from Stockholm and co-founded with Roger Gunnarsson few years ago, the band Free Loan Investments. After several singles, a mini album and some touring the band split up on, however. After that it was right to Aldervall of their studies in Linköping still.

crime was committed:
While commuting between Stockholm and Linköping Aldervall had enough time to compose songs that they are no longer published in the safe band structure, but as a soloist under the name The Andersen Tapes . The same film made in 1971 with Sean Connery in the lead role she never saw, the sound of the title has Amanda Aldervall convinced.
A first EP (2008), released on Cloudberry Records and limited to 100 pieces, is now sold out. "As I Write 'Today' Ten Times" is thus their debut, which brings together 10 tracks from the 5 past years, was published by Fraction Discs and is in Germany is to have only as an import.

plea:
indie pop for fans of Talulah Gosh, Heavenly and The Go-Betweens, the so-lo-fi, intimate and sometimes obliquely sounds like it would have been included in a Swedish living room. What he probably is.
Aldervall can reach a guitar, a glockenspiel, her vocals and the rhythms she takes it all besides a tambourines, which is just palpable, and embark on that one. Sometimes, to reach even their own hands.
While listening I always wonder what has become of the charming French girl Soko?

Witnesses
Here you'll find that the Free Loan Investments sound isn't completely dead (see 'Cross Country'), it just got mixed up with the beautiful Pipas-like harmonies of 'All You Need to Know'.

At times this album can seem almost glossy, but you'd be fool to think so, 'cos at its heart is a beautiful mixture of all that's wonderful in indiepop today. You can hear Liechtenstein in there, parts of Crayon Fields, the odd nod towards Pocketbooks, and then you think "Oh! Maybe those bands took their inspiration from Aldervall". Only then you realise how important it is to have her back.

Where other acts strive and strive to achieve pop greatness, Aldervall seems to have it at her fingertips at all times. Maybe I'm as guilty of hyperbole as those who throw the "legend" status around all over the shop, but these songs are so effortlessly cool and loveable and full of the best pop spirit you could ever wish for.

By the time you get to the tear-y 'You're So Lonely When You're Old' you're itching to press the repeat button and experience the joy all over again.

Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding

The first subpoena (III)

Personnel:

Beady Eye are Liam Gallagher (vocals), Gem Archer (guitar) and Andy Bell (bass, guitar), previously played together already in a band called Oasis. This was supplemented by Chris Sharrock on drums. Live
they are supported by Jeff Wootton and Matt Jones on bass and keyboards.

crime was committed:
After getting Noel Gallagher Oasis decided the three remaining members under the name Beady Eye continue what Noel enticed to the following statement: "The guy has a one year time to consider a name and it is him of anything better than, Beady Eye '? "
In the RAK studios in London with Steve Lillywhite in 12 weeks Summer / Fall 2010 album "Different Gear, Still Speeding" included. It contains 13 tracks (just under 52 minutes), plus iTunes "Man of Misery" and "Sons Of The Stage", the Japanese version also still waiting with "World Outside My Room".

plea:
"Bring The Light" was the first song it was heard by Beady Eye, a clumsy Boogie Woogie Rocker. It was followed by "Four Letter Word", which the Led Zepplin was flying high, and "The Roller", a "Instant Karma" imitation and thus at least one song in the best of Oasis-style.

Even if a song of the record the title "The Beatles and Stones" with (no The House Of Love cover) Beady Eye sounds more like the energetic rock of The Who. Also the only album by The La's ("Millionaire") is likely to have been sponsored, for "The Morning Son" would be like the "Looking Glass" and maintains the tradition of Oasis-riotous conclusion of songs.
After Liam's weak contributions ("For Anyone" is certainly in that grade) to the Oasis album ("Little James"!) And various B-sides of the parlous state of Bell & Archer was to fear the worst and the not-too-high expectations inserted. Beady Eye skip this but then loose and can design, which predicts the album title: "Different Gear, Still Speeding.

Beady Eyes debut is weaker than any Oasis album (even as "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants", but for a stronger cover and there are no spelling errors), but at least Heavy Stereo's "Deja Voodoo" (Archer) or Rides "Tarantula" (Bell ) excel.

Witnesses
Four Letter Word is a strong opener, powerfully surging orchestral rock Providing for effective showcase for Gallagher's appealingly coarse bellow, Which as ever serves to invest the banal lyrics ("Nothing lasts forever," apparently) with if, not meaning, then at least menace. Millionaire is a curious hybrid of folky Led Zep and Wings. Beatles and Stones sounds like The Rutles doing 19th Nervous Breakdown. The Beat Goes On captures some of the lysergic whimsy of Sgt Pepper's-era Lennon while Wigwam hints at what St John might be doing today had he lived. That’s a criticism of Lennon, by the way, but high praise indeed for Gallagher. The Morning Son is the epic closer that grows from an acoustic start towards a cloudburst of psychedelic colour and baroque instrumentation. It’s superb.

Who’d have believed it? No one, that’s who. Well, apart from Liam.
( bbc.co.uk )

bedauerlicherweise hat das ganze hat lediglich den charme einer beliebig dahergelaufenen, hemdsärmeligen postmod-band die von john lennon bis mungo jerry alles zusammenklauen. dazu aber kommen unbelievable stupid texts and these recurring "c'mon" in the choruses - annoying from a sometimes it properly. The worst is but as I said, the beady eye of Little Richard, small faces, to steal John Lennon's "Instant Karma" so bold that it pushes the audience blush. "Wigwam" and "wind up dream" after all, are the only songs where you feel immediately recalls classic to any 6TS.
auweia, the whole effort at times almost satirical trains à la "Spinal Tap" is much ado about nothing, and actually would have to Noel Gallagher in his "super nova-flat" about his brother and the old fellow just die laughing. liam sorry, but your new band, including "different gear, still speeding" is a very bad joke, I laugh as the old oasis-fan can not.

Bright Eyes – The people’s key

cover

Conor Oberst in Omaha, Nebraska has enriched the libraries of many people. Including the current album, he brought it with his band Bright Eyes already seven albums. It is alleged that at "The people's key" to the last work of the band. Besides, he was at Monsters Of Folk, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Desaparecidos and some more active. His collaboration I did not even begin to list ... so fans should not be too concerned about the future outputs of the musician.

The intro to opening track spans a wide berth: progress, evolution, bible quotes, Universe ... one might expect that following this style is a great album, the music to the world formula. But for a really strong start followed by "Firewall" and "shell games" rather casual and relaxed, and above all ordinary songs. It seems that Conor Oberst is currently in with themselves and the world pure. The result is a "satisfactory" to "good" indie rock album, which is not glittering finale and pull hardly much attention, it would be the debut album from a young band from Nebraska. The history of rock music has probably Conor Oberst currently not much to add. Basically, I welcome the absence of extravagant Folk bonds. But perhaps had "The people's key" created with a less rocking approach space for other strengths of the acclaimed musician.

There are obviously other opinions, such as CD- Bewertungen.de :

[...] Like the "Ladder Song", one of the quieter tracks on the album. "One For You, One For Me" closes the album eventually worthy and makes "The People's Key" to a disk, which leaves the country behind and embarks on modern rock shores. With synthesizers, electric guitars and keyboards and a Conor Oberst seemingly not of this world is big and still wants to do.

fans of the artist on the album worth a listen, and memorable songs and moments. Additionally, "The people's key" no "must-buy.

Dream Diary - You Are The Beat

The first subpoena (II)

Personnel:

A young man, let's call him Jacob moves from Philadelphia to New York to pursue his dream of a guitar pop band. But still it lacks like-minded colleagues. One day he wanders along the Essex Street comes with a neat little girl (Madison Arkansas) together so that both fall off their iPods. Bustle, confusion, each incorrect MP3 Player repealed and surprise found that both "The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths heard. One thing led to another and Jacobs dream came true.
With Alexander was found a short time later in a bar by a further coincidence, the right drummer, Dream Diary completed the trio.

crime was committed:
"You Are The Best" is the debut album of Dream Diary that was suitable for record cover on Valentine's Day (as in the Young Prisms) published on Kanine Records in the U.S. and here only as import is referred to.
The cover of the LP (red vinyl, gatefold) decorated with a baby while a young girl smiling at one of her CD. Really nice, none of the two versions.

plea:
Nostalgic, romantic indie pop that will, as in this history be otherwise, The Smiths, cited or even years before Sarah Records had (primarily the jingle jangle-pop of The Field Mice) found a suitable home.
a nice chat until the next album by The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, then probably a few exceptions ("Something Tells Her" or "El Lissitzky") rather quickly vanished from memory.

Witnesses
Too many early-'90s indie pop bands had the sound but weak songs or vice versa, only a few like the Field Mice and the Orchids managed to get it completely right. short list Add Dream Diary to that. Just about every track on the album could have been a Sarah A-side. From the rocking (for them) heartbreaker "El Lissitzky" to the Byrdsy “Is He Really Mine,” and from the achingly pretty ballad “Bird in My Garden” to the big-hearted dancefloor-ready “She Has a Way,” the album is made up of thoughtful lyrics, big hooks, variable dynamics, and songs that you’ll find yourself humming at odd times for days. It’s an impressive debut from a band that seemingly arrived on the scene fully formed and ready to break hearts with a cruel ease -- while at the same time filling said hearts with warmth and the kind of joy that well-played, deeply felt indie pop can bring.

Young Prisms - Friends For Now

The first summons (I)

Personnel:

Get out of the unsatisfactory academic life, pure in a cockroach infested apartment on a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, from there to realize the dream of a career as a musician. Jordan Silbert, Matt Allen, Stef Hodapp and Gio Betteo went this way.

crime was committed:
In 2009 appeared already with "Mexican Summer" the first EP, there were several split singles with "Friends For Now" is now in the lo-fi sound dazzling debut Prisms Young, released on Kanine Records and in Germany so far is to have only as an import.

plea:
noisy and dissonant guitar rock psychedelic lettering with mesmerizing Effect. There are between the coordinates Garage Rock (Sonic Youth) and shoegaze (My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver) swallowed the guys singing as an accompaniment to the breathless voice of Stef Hodapp.

Witnesses
Friends for Now begins with a title track, where a soft bass line into swells of reverb-laden vocals rich swirl of guitar and meandering. It's as if you're falling in slow motion into an abyss, paralyzed by whirring feedback and lethargic chords.
"If You Want To" gracefully breaks the fall, with its danceable beat paired alongside washed-out surf guitar and haphazard vocals. Lacking in substantial lyrics, the 'oohs' and 'ahhs' allow the music to speak for itself, completely engaging the listener with delectable melody. Young Prisms songs consistently stray from the typical lyrical pop song structure of choruses and verses yet adhere to them musically, creating an compelling dynamic that prevents their slew of delicious pop songs from becoming monotonous.
Similar tracks characterize about half of the album; 2010 single “Sugar” shows Young Prisms at their strongest. Pounding, pulsating drums and wailing guitar alongside lofty repeated chimes of “I’m still high/I’m still high” add together for a sweet three-and-a-half minutes in which one can’t help but get lost. “Eleni” follows suit, only with the addition of noisy clanking and clamoring alongside a stellar bass groove.
Although their upbeat tracks are masterful and incredibly enjoyable, Young Prisms take care not to pigeonhole themselves throughout Friends for Now; they also succeed admirably in their ventures into slower, hypnotic jams, fully indulgent in the psychedelic tag of their genre. Exemplifying this is “In Your Room”, a six-minute journey rich in distortion and entrancing percussion. The vocals fade out halfway through the song, allowing for a guitar and pounding drums session that is seriously inescapable, a hallucinogen in its own right.
All in all, Friends for Now is an impressively strong debut that exceeds even the vast expectations of those fans primed on the band’s introductory singles and releases. With its subtle psychedelia and addictive beats paired with incomprehensible, lofty vocals, Young Prisms keep the listener guessing - and definitely coming back for more.

Gus Black - The Day I Realised...

"The Day I Realised ... " Gus decides Blacks "Day" trilogy and has fallen even more quiet and intimate than the two previous "Autumn Days" (2005) and "Today Is Not The Day ..." (2008). No wonder, for the Californian singer / songwriter describes his plate themselves as "open love letter" and then quoted the songs turn to his own personal muse and the emergence and development of his love for her. The happy ending is already provided, because "The World Is On Fire" concludes the album with the following words: " Hey hey hey, there's nothing left to say / The world is on fire and I love you, I love you".
It also fits well to the fact that the plate was first recorded by Tom Biller (including Warpaint) in the studio, but Black was not happy with the result that it allows private atmosphere of his home, where the expenses predecessor, missing. So he took a large part of the plate on new in your own four walls.
In some moments remind Gus Black and his guitar on Leonard Cohen ("No Love In Vain") and Neil Young ("Waiting In The Cold"), even if this against the approaching end of the song strings certainly sought to defend would have.
"The Day I Realised ..." is seems to have gone something really great album through and through, only for the production of the CDs, because the order is consistent with not equal to 4 points in the booklet and cover.

Gus Black, who already commercials (Nike, Mercedes Benz) and music videos (Eels) he made plans for each song on the album to create a clip. So far, to see two:

Radiohead - The King Of Limbs

Radiohead are always good for a surprise: first, there was no information on a release date for their eighth album, nor a title, a cover or a track list. Then, as Valentine's Day greeting to their fans not only all of this information came at a time, but also making it known that in advance of the panel are already five days later, so this Saturday, the complete album available for download would.

Radiohead took leave of their "pay-as-much-you-want" idea, but deliver "The King Of Limbs on 9 May as the so-called Newspaper album (two 10''disks, CD, special artwork and a special package just for 36 €) from - whatever you have to imagine below.

In the course of the guard there was with the video for "Lotus Flower" first new sounds to hear, and for some hours there is tumultuous fan comments that are appalled at the length, or show better soon the album: are only 8 tracks in just under 38 minutes for spoiled Radiohead fans ("In Rainbows" it brought in the limited form of 18 tracks with significantly more than 60 minutes) appear to too little.
would perhaps Radiohead Download the singles "Harry Patch (In Memory Of)" and "These Are My Words Twisted," which was published in 2009, yet easy to pack on the album. It definitely would not hurt.

but also about the quality of the songs is already being heavily criticized and opinions range from "masterpiece" to "(hindenken here insert title of the weakest Radiohead album) biggest disappointment since ...". Can say definitely that the path is "In Rainbows" last struck, pursued consistently. Not easily detectable melodies, electronic sounds of percussion dominant tricky, bumpy, often in regions Dubstep slide on rhythms, accustomed to Yorke's whiny vocals. Guitars are rarely heard, but is often played with the Kid A-Experimentierbox ("Little By Little"). One or the other jazzy excursion (in the instrumental "Feral") may also little lacking, as the simple, emotional ballad (piano, "Codex", acoustic: "Give Up The Ghost").

One of the many hastily written track-by-track reviews can be found for example in the British Telegraph that BBC comes to the following case:
The staggering, off-kilter opener step of Bloom might not click with those holding a candle for The Return of the Gallagher a week from this record's release, but to anyone with even half an ear tuned to In Rainbows it’ll seem very (although not over-) familiar indeed. Morning Mr Magpie plucks its way into a Foals-ian spin, the masters seemingly taking on board a few tips from their hometown pupils. Lotus Flower – the source of #thomdance Twitter activity once its video was unveiled – is another piece that looks backwards rather than projecting into bold, new sonic territories. It flails and flaps, but in a manner entirely in keeping with its makers’ predilection for the metronomic – to the wrong ears, it’s five minutes of the same beat, utterly unremarkable.
But that’s the beauty of Radiohead – they’ve never, certainly not since the breakthrough days of Creep, been a band for the people. They’re too idiosyncratic for that, and even though there are moments aplenty here that suggest the band hasn’t furthered their vision, subtle differences to a tested formula ensure The King of Limbs is another great album from Britain’s most consistently brilliant band. And come Codex, it truly strikes the listener dumb. Like Motion Picture Soundtrack, Street Spirit, Sail to the Moon, Nude – insert your own favourite slow-paced Radiohead numb-er here – it’s a piece of rarefied beauty. Thom says something about dragonflies, something else about nobody getting hurt; the words blur and blend, though, as beneath them the simplest, most strikingly gorgeous piano motif bores its way into the heart. And it's here, not any of your limited-character-blogging or video-sharing sites, that Radiohead trump all comers, again.

James Vincent McMorrow - Early In The Morning

This past weekend I spent with some dear friends in Dublin. We went without a goal through all taverns of the city, on the stage we played music with local bards and hunted countless jugs Guinness afterwards. It was a great pleasure. On the night way in our hostel we met a lone street musician and his lyre. Enchanted by its bewitching performance I bought his CD ado, the constantly since then my life to sound.

In reality behaved, of course not quite the same way. On James Vincent McMorrow I do not hit the Nightly * on Dublin streets, but as part of a simfy Playlist of the online magazine crazewire . There, his song "If I Had A Boat" can be heard, who immediately moved into a permanent home in my heart.

James Vincent McMorrow - If I Had A Boat by partisanpr

friends music Bon Ivers or Fleet Foxes are now perhaps ears and should certainly also address these songs:

James Vincent McMorrow - This Old Dark Machine by partisanpr

The good man Ireland need to hear quite a bit. The comparisons to hail Bon Iver it by the dozen. All of you must deny that here also do not know why you should too? A song is a story and you never experienced it twice. Thus, the modest demand of a lingering plate has reached its destination. Some speak of a potential classic of the decade. ( Prince )

The good man out of Ireland would make quite fantastic on the Haldern Pop. (Olly_golightly)

* Des nights at Dublin's streets, however, we met on Pierce Brosnan and if not a good fellow passengers had expressed distinctly these words, I would have missed quite possible: "There is Pierce Brosnan! As Pierce Brosnan is! PIERCE BROSNAN! "
